Visiting Barbados

barbados vacation

Barbados is a small island in the Caribbean, little more than twenty miles long, but from tip to tip this beautiful island holds all the splendors you could imagine.  Beautiful scenery, luxurious beaches, world-class cuisine and shopping, lodging of every type, and so much more are what you will find during your Barbados vacation.  And with an airport serviced by so many year-round flights daily, Barbados travel is easier than ever.

Beside all of the gorgeous beaches and all of the activities there, Barbados has so much to offer.  No Barbados travel would be complete without a visit to Animal Flower Cave on the north shore, a cave filled with anemone in a natural pool that you can swim in.  Another cave that cannot be missed is Harrison’s Cave, where you can take a tour of this stunning cave filled with stalactites and stalagmites that will leave you breathless.  A hike through the purely tropical Welchman Hall Gully will rejuvenate you while shocking you with its beauty.

When the nature explorations are done, there is a plethora of shopping in the towns, especially in the capital town of Bridgetown.  Shops here have not only fantastic native and exotic buys, but at much lower prices than you would expect, and tax-free as long as you remember to bring your airline ticket and passport.  The dining is also world-class, with enough great restaurants that I recommend trying different ones any chance you get during your Barbados vacation.barbados map

At a balmy 75˚F to 85˚F all year long, cooling off just a bit at nights, the year-round temperature couldn’t be more perfect.  The rainy season lasts from June until December, a little more so during hurricane season, though it is very rare for a hurricane to actually hit Barbados.

Barbados is a truly unique island, come see for yourself.  Plan your Barbados vacation today; the sooner you are here, the sooner you are in paradise!
